EPS concrete, also known as lightweight expanded polystyrene concrete, is a type of concrete in which part of the aggregate (gravel and sand) is replaced with expanded polystyrene (Styrofoam) beads. The main difference from classic concrete is its significantly lower density and weight, which makes it easier to handle and reduces the load on the structure. Also, EPS concrete has excellent insulating properties due to the trapped air in the Styrofoam balls, unlike classic concrete which is a good thermal conductor.
