The process of building construction (rohbau)
Workshop drawings
The process begins with the precise preparation of project documentation. Workshop drawings are created that define the geometry, reinforcement positions, connections and all the technical details necessary for the production of steel baskets and the installation of STIROTON concrete.
Making baskets
Based on the blueprints, under controlled conditions, steel baskets are made - spatial reinforced concrete frames that make up the load-bearing structure of the building. The baskets define the volume of the future walls and enable optimal load-bearing capacity with minimal construction weight.
Hot-dip galvanizing
All baskets and reinforcing elements go through the hot-dip galvanizing process, which ensures their long-term resistance to corrosion, especially important in areas with increased humidity or an aggressive atmosphere.
Transport and installation
Finished galvanized baskets are transported to the construction site and mounted on prepared foundations. Thanks to prefabrication and modularity, assembly is quick and precise, with minimal on-site work.
Installation of STIROTON
STIROTON concrete is poured into the placed baskets – ultra-light EPS concrete that fills the structure, envelops the reinforcement and, after setting, becomes a solid, insulating and load-bearing mass. The casting is done using a mobile plant directly on the construction site.
Anti-seismic reinforcements
If necessary, additional seismic reinforcements such as FRCM nets (fibrous composites on a mineral base) are added, which further increases the structure's resistance to horizontal loads and earthquakes.
Hydro rough layer
After STIROTON hardens, a rough waterproofing layer is applied, which protects the object from moisture penetration and ensures durability, especially in parts in contact with the ground or external influences.
Finishing
The finishing phase includes fine layers of facade, interior cladding, paint, plaster or other materials, depending on the purpose and design of the building. Thanks to the smooth surface of STIROTON, finishing is simple and requires minimal corrections.
